Many batteries now come with a battery tester. How does a battery tester work?

Battery tester is a thin film of material which changes its color when current/voltage is applied. The thin film of material is formed into a strip pattern which is then coated with conductive material at the end of the strip. By adding supply at the end this particular material changes its color.

it measures how much energy is stored in the battery.
ifd you kept those tabs down all the time eventually it would drain the battery.

a battery tester is sold by itself. it has two wires one for positive one for negitive. touch them to the battery + to + -to - it tells you how much juice is in the battery

in brief, when the two testing points are in series through our finger, continuity is developed in a small liquefied thermocouple which displays the strength/stored power in the battery.
